Jason Park is set to join DraftKings Inc as the group’s new Chief Financial Officer in a move to help support the company’s growth as more states are looking to open the doors to sports betting and legalization of daily fantasy sports.
In his new role, Park will act as a strategic advisor to CEO Jason Robins and senior management in navigating the company’s major operational strategies.
“DraftKings has experienced exponential growth over the last year and we are excited to welcome someone of Jason’s caliber to the team,” said Robins.
“Jason will step in and help accomplish our long-term financial goals. He has a track record of success around investments and acquisitions which will aid in the growth of our business and his world-class background in evolving and executing growth plans will make him invaluable to our organization.”
Prior to his new role, Park held the position of Operating Partner at Bain Capital Private Equity for over a decade, where he was tasked with overseeing the company’s technological investments.
“I am thrilled to be joining DraftKings at this important inflection point for the company,” said Park. “DraftKings has already established itself as a clear leader in the sports technology and entertainment arena and I look forward to working with this exceptional team to drive and capture the significant growth potential ahead.”
The current CFO, Tim Dent, is set to become the company’s Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) as part of a company reshuffle as Park resumes his new duties with immediate effect.
Dent will be tasked with overseeing all compliance, licensing, regulation and responsible gaming efforts.
Dent’s role will expand to include the oversight of all compliance, licensing, regulation and responsible gaming efforts. Furthermore, he will ensure compliance with all licensing requirements and uphold the vast number of consumer protection measures on the DraftKings platform.
Dent will also drive partnerships with regulators as DraftKings continues to expand its product in the U.S. and international markets.
