Betfred has announced the opening of its newest retail sportsbook location in the US at Long Shot’s in the Capital Region of Central Maryland

Aiming to “revolutionize” the retail sports betting scene in Maryland, the sportsbook stands at 6,300 square feet, and has 157 seats, and an 80-panel television wall. Betting amenities include 12 self-service kiosks, while there is a selection of beers on tap for bettors to choose from whilst betting on sports.

Kresimir Spajic, CEO of Betfred USA, emphasized the significance of this service, stating: “Our commitment to enhancing the sports betting experience remains unwavering.

“The effortless integration of cash deposits and withdrawals exemplifies our dedication to providing customers in Frederick and all of Maryland with a top-tier betting experience.”

The Betfred Sportsbooks will allow players to seamlessly integrate their retail and online betting experiences. Players can place cash bets at the betting counter for convenience but can also deposit or withdraw funds directly into and from their Betred Online Accounts.

Long Shot’s is based in Frederick County, Maryland and is a 100% female-owned business and will be the first such business to host a sportsbook in Maryland.

Alyse Cohen, CEO of Long Shot’s, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, stating: “We are thrilled to collaborate with Betfred and introduce this state-of-the-art sportsbook to the Capital Region. It’s a terrific addition to the outstanding Long Shot’s experience.”

Betfred bolstered its retail portfolio in the US by partnering with Virgin Hotels Las Vegas to operate the dormant sportsbook and giving the UK-based operator a presence in the gaming capital of the US.
