Betfred has confirmed the launch of its retail sportsbook in Las Vegas inside Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, in collaboration with Mohegan Sun

Finally opening its doors after laying dormant for over two years, the Betfred at Mohegan Sun Sportsbook first opened its doors to bettors alongside UNLV Rebels and Cincinnati Bengals player, Elbert Woods

Celebrating the launch, Woods placed the ceremonial first bet on the Eagles to win the Big Game followed by a meet and greet and autograph session for fans.

This marks Betfred’s debut in Nevada and 2023 is seemingly set up to be a landmark in its US history, after also launching in Virginia and Ohio this year.

The sportsbook is operated by Mohegan Casino Las Vegas and managed by Betfred but makes up part of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, which originally planned on opening a sportsbook two years ago.

Betfred was finally approved for a sports betting license in Nevada last month after CEO Fred Done flew out from the UK to provide evidence to the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

After receiving vetting over a range of legal issues, including pending litigation involving TradeFred in Australia, Betfred was approved to operate sports betting in the state.

Betfred at Mohegan Sun Sportsbook boasts luxury seating, an expansive video wall with high-definition TVs and over-the-counter wagering.

Launching just in time for the Super Bowl this weekend, Betfred at Mohegan Sun will offer a variety of betting options including parlays, in-game wagering, futures, props, and more.
