FanDuel has announced soccer star Carli Lloyd and PGA Tour golfer Tom Kim as the latest additions to its responsible gaming ambassador program.

Marking Responsible Gaming Education Month, FanDuel has widened its ambassador program by adding two new names to the roster that also includes Craig Carton

Lloyd, a two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup winner, enjoyed an illustrious career in US soccer and scored 134 for the USWNT during her 16-year international career. She will join FanDuel to help raise awareness of responsible gaming tools available to players on the app.

“I am excited to be joining the FanDuel team as a Responsible Gaming Ambassador,” said Lloyd. “As sports gambling continues to become more accessible, I think it is critical fans adopt a mindset that gambling is supposed to be a form of entertainment and that tools are available to them within the FanDuel Sportsbook app to stay in control of the way they play. I’m eager to help my fellow ambassadors spread the word on the Play Well lifestyle.”

Kim, 21, is a rising star in the PGA Tour roster and has won two titles on the tour and became the first under-21-year-old to win the Shriners Children’s Open since Tiger Woods.

“When evaluating a potential partnership with FanDuel, I knew I wanted to be able to use my platform to advocate for responsible play,” said Kim. “It is clear everyone at FanDuel takes responsible gaming seriously, and I am proud to join their team as a Responsible Gaming Ambassador and raise awareness among my fans, especially those around my age, and the golf community on and off the course.”

In addition to new RG ambassadors, FanDuel has also confirmed that its bespoke responsible gaming advertising campaign The System will return for a second time. Developed by the in-house FanDuel creative team, The System will air throughout the football season and promote FanDuel’s “Play Well” tools.

Meanwhile, the operator is also partnering with Front Office Sports to launch an educational course focusing on responsible gaming which will be live on the Front Office Sports Learning platform in early 2024.

Covering the fundamentals of responsible gambling, the course will allow users to add a badge to their LinkedIn profile as well as obtain a certificate.

“We believe that educating the sports industry at large on what responsible gaming means is an equally important part of our mission to promote responsible play with consumers,” said Alison Kutler, FanDuel Sustainability and Responsible Gaming Vice President.

“I’m delighted to partner with Front Office Sports to break new ground and have training available that drives a culture of RG in our industry.”
These initiatives make up part of FanDuel’s Positive Impact Plan, which amongst other initiatives, aims to see at least 50% of users utilizing at least one responsible gaming tool by the end of 2026.
