BetMGM has agreed a deal with Borgata to roll out a new omnichannel roulette casino game in New Jersey. The game will also be available on the BetMGM platform for online casino players in the Garden State.

Produced in collaboration with Evolution, Dual Play Roulette allows players to view a physical roulette table in a casino and online players can join in the same game remotely.

The game marks the first time Evolution has released a Dual play live game at an MGM property in the US.

Jamie Bruno, VP of Casino Operations at Borgata, commented: “We are thrilled to unveil the revolutionary Dual Play Roulette on BetMGM and Borgata Online Casino, marking a momentous collaboration between two industry leaders.

“We are incredibly proud to present this cutting-edge offering to our esteemed players in New Jersey. We invite players to immerse themselves in this gaming experience, where tradition meets technology, and excitement knows no limits.”

On the online version of the game, players will be offered an immersive experience through the positioning of multiple cameras around the table. Similar versions of the game are live in other Evolution jurisdictions such as the UK.

For BetMGM, this marks another addition to its online casino platform that still remains the market leader in the US. Despite this, the operator’s market share in online casino has dropped from 30% to 27% in the last quarter, driven by intense competition, but the addition of Dual Play Roulette will look to cement BetMGM’s leadership position.

On the MGM earnings call earlier this week, CEO Bill Hornbuckle didn’t hold back in his assertion that the BetMGM product still requires significant improvements to maintain leadership in online casino and catch up to FanDuel and DraftKings in online sports betting.

Oliver Barlett, Director of Online Gaming at BetMGM, added: “Dual Play Roulette truly meets players where they are. This is a great example of online and land-based casinos leveraging technology to bring players a better omnichannel experience. BetMGM is excited launch Dual Play Roulette with Borgata, which has set the standard for gaming in Atlantic City for two decades.”
