FanDuel has teamed up with female-owned roastery firm North Edge Craft Coffee to display its support for the US Women’s National Team ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The collaboration will see FanDuel release a limited-edition coffee blend named FanDuel Extra Kick Coffee throughout the tournament, which begins this Thursday and sees the USWNT aim to win the greatest prize in the women’s game for the third consecutive time.
With the tournament taking palace in Australia and New Zealand, US fans will be forced to stay awake long into the night, therefore FanDuel has seen an opportunity to give their players a way of remaining caffeinated.
Jennifer Matthews, VP Brand Strategy, FanDuel, commented: “The USWNT is primed for a three-peat, but the upcoming international tournament presents a challenge for some US fans who may find it difficult to tune in. That’s where FanDuel comes in.
“We know the passion and dedication of fans across the country, and we’re here to support them, providing extra fuel to ensure fans have the energy they need to get through the next day after late-night or early-morning match watching. FanDuel takes pride in being absurdly fan-focused and wants to rally fans together behind Team USA.”
As part of its marketing strategy for the tournament, FanDuel will host branded trucks in New York, Boston, Columbus, and Kansas City which will feature Extra Kick Coffee.
Meanwhile, the operator is offering its “most robust” wagering promotion on a women’s sporting event, with fans aged 21 and over able to receive $100 in bonus bets when they wager $5.
Plus, USWNT fans earn another $10 in bonus bets each time the US team wins, while FanDuel’s prop betting will be available throughout the tournament.
“My experience has proven that Team USA supporters are some of the most passionate fans out there, and we want to show them our appreciation for the sacrifice they will make back home, losing sleep to cheer the team on,” said FanDuel ambassador Carli Lloyd.
“I’m excited to partner with FanDuel to give our fans an extra kick to conquer the day with FanFuel’s Extra Kick limited edition coffee blend.”
The USWNT will face Vietnam in their opening fixture on July 22, and will also come up against the Netherlands and Portugal in the group stage.
