Xpoint has confirmed that experienced industry leader Manu Gambhir has joined the company as its new CEO, leading the geolocation tech firm into a new era.

Gambhir joins Xpoint having gathered 20 years of experience in the US gaming industry, having previously served as President of Enterprise Software at Games 24×7 and CEO of Thrive Gaming.

In his new role, he will be charged with leading all aspects of the company as it aims to become a leader in geolocation technology in the US. The firm described that it wants to develop from a “scrappy disrupter to a trusted industry leader”.

“Manu is the ideal leader to guide Xpoint in the next stage of its journey from scrappy disrupter to a trusted industry leader, and we are excited to welcome him aboard,” said Xpoint Director David VanEgmond of Bettor Capital

“His deep understanding, experience, and relationships across the real-money gaming market will accelerate the rapid growth and traction Xpoint has experienced in the past year.”

Following Gambhir’s arrival, Xpoint Co-Founder Marvin Sanderson, who had previously led the company, will now focus on leading the company’s business development unit.

Under Sanderson’s tutelage, Xpoint became the second geolocation firm authorized for the US gambling market, having received licensure in New Jersey, as well as 10 other states.

The next priority for the firm is to become a more trusted source within the industry as it seeks to become the number one player.

“I am committed to growing Xpoint into a leading geolocation provider for real-money gaming and other regulated industries that need this technology,” said Manu Gambhir.

“I look forward to working with Marvin and the entire Xpoint team to bring an innovative and extremely reliable solution to real-money gaming operators. As we look out to the near future, we see tremendous potential to harness location data to provide AI-driven insights that will allow our clients to better understand their customers to drive engagement and retention.”
