Caesars Entertainment has celebrated the grand opening of the Horseshoe Las Vegas, marking the return of the property to the gambling capital of the world.
Making its return to Vegas via The Strip, Horseshoe held a grand opening ceremony last week which saw Jack Binion, whose family began the Horseshoe brand, present a special horseshoe from his family’s ranch to Caesars management.
Meanwhile, the event featured showgirls wearing the original costumes from Jubillee and confetti cannons.
The opening event was a special reception led by Jack Effel, VP of World Series of Poker, and it included a Q&A session with panelists including Binion, Mattress Mack, and Doyle Brunson.
“The arrival of Horseshoe on The Strip marks a significant moment for Caesars Entertainment, the Horseshoe name and the entire destination,” said Jason Gregorec, SVP and General Manager of the property.
“Not only are we excited for guests to experience the redesigned resort and its latest offerings, but we are also proud to reintroduce the historic gaming brand to Las Vegas.”
The new Horseshoe Las Vegas property boasts several new features, including a 7,000-square-foot arcade with over 80 games, a Jack Binion’s Steak restaurant, and an M.Y. Asia.
The venue also has a World Series of Poker Hall Of Fame Poker Room ahead of the return of the World Series of Poker tournament to Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas later this year from May 30 – July 18.
Caesars confirmed the dates for the tournament earlier this year and has now confirmed that the new Horseshoe venue will play host to the prestigious poker tournament, which had a prize pool of $347.9m last year.
