FanDuel is not pulling any punches when it comes to debuting strong in Massachusetts. Friday, the launch day for online sports betting in the state, FanDuel revealed another big partnership, this time with the Boston Bruins.

“Massachusetts is home to some of the most passionate fan bases across the country and we’re excited to enhance their viewing experience with the launch of the FanDuel Sportsbook app,” said Mike Raffensperger, Chief Commercial Officer, FanDuel Group. “Bruins fans are the true embodiment of that passion and we look forward to supporting the team this season and beyond.”

The deal includes the ability for FanDuel to use official rights and marks of the team in its own app and advertising. Additionally, FanDuel branding will be present in TD Garden, including on the NHL’s new digitally-enhanced dasher board.

“We’re thrilled to welcome FanDuel to the Bruins and TD Garden family,” said Glen Thornborough, Chief Revenue Officer of the Boston Bruins. “With the legalization of sports betting in Massachusetts in January 2023, it’s an exciting time to be partnering with an industry leader in FanDuel.”

This is the second Massachusetts partnership for FanDuel this week. The operator previously announced a partnership with Boston Bruins broadcaster New England Sports Network (NESN). This also comes hot on the heels of a national deal between FanDuel and MLB.

FanDuel is the national leader when it comes to market share and the leader in a number of different states, but the industry is watching to see how the app debuts in Massachusetts, which houses DraftKings headquarters and is the birthplace of Barstool Sports.
