Tipico has signed a strategic marketing partnership agreement with live entertainment firm AEG Presents to elevate its brand in Ohio as the state gears up to launch sports betting in January.
Under the terms of the agreement, Tipico has become the sponsor in the sportsbook category of multiple AEG Presents owned and operated music venues across Ohio.
Venues that will be sponsored by the sportsbook include Kemba Live, Newport Music Hall, A&R Music Bar, The Basement, and the Agora Theatre & Ballroom.
Moreover, Tipico will be a presenting partner of AEG’s Best Bet Concert Series set to take place each year in the state.
The Best Bet Concert Series will see Tipico sponsor 32 concerts per year in which it will be able to provide custom on-site promotional material and activations for ticket holders.
“Our research revealed that our customers are almost as passionate about attending concerts and music festivals as they are about watching and betting on their favorite sports,” said Adrian Vella, CEO of Tipico North America. “Our new customers can enjoy exclusive benefits at venues such as KEMBA Live! and Agora Theatre.”
Tipico is seeking to grow its reputation in the Buckeye State as it prepares to go live with sports betting on Jan 1. The sportsbook has been awarded a Type A online and mobile sports betting license from the Ohio Casino Control Commission.
Another key way it has built a presence in Ohio is via a long-term partnership with Columbus Crew, the MLS franchise based in the state, becoming the official and exclusive sports betting partner.
Celebrating the agreement with AEG Presents, the partners have launched a ticket giveaway scheme, offering to part with $10,000 worth of tickets to concerts across Ohio throughout December.
To enter and potentially win tickets to a concert of their choice next year, fans can make a first-time deposit to be rewarded with Tipico bonus funds.
