PokerStars has agreed to a “first of its kind” multi-year partnership with the Detroit Red Wings, becoming the official sponsor of the NHL franchise.

The terms of this “first of its kind for the global entertainment brand in the US” deal will see PokerStars provide engaging fan opportunities and experiences to Red Wings fans, as well as a chance to win rewards such as signed memorabilia, merchandise, and game tickets.

As part of the deal, the Red Wings’ iconic winged wheel logo will be included on PokerStars’ marketing materials, while the operator’s logo will be prominently featured during home games at the Little Caesars Arena. Responsible gambling messaging will also be central to the deal.

“We are extremely proud and excited to build a long-term relationship with such an iconic NHL team as the Red Wings,” commented Severin Rasset, PokerStars US Managing Director.

“Through this partnership, we look forward to delivering epic experiences for our PokerStars community, expanding on what we can offer our Michigan-based players, as well as those across the rest of the US.”

PokerStars noted it has a highly engaged community in Michigan, having been present in the Wolverine State since early 2021.

“This is a partnership that our fans, especially poker players, will really enjoy,“ added Chris McGowan, President & CEO of Ilitch Sports + Entertainment, operator of the Little Caesars Arena.

“It’s great to see PokerStars’ branding on the ice-level at Little Caesars Arena, and we’re very appreciative of their support.”
