Sports Information Services (SIS) has penned a deal to sponsor the Argentine Derby, the Gran Premio Nacional, in Buenos Aires at the weekend.
Taking place at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo, the race is one of the most important in the Argentine calendar. SIS is aiming to build upon its partnership with the racetrack, where it is the exclusive global distributor of pictures and data.
The deal grows SIS’ presence in Latin America, where it covers over 27,000 races in the likes of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and Uruguay.
Michele Fischer, Vice President of SIS Content Services, said: “The Gran Premio Nacional is a major highlight of the racing calendar in Argentina, and we are delighted to sponsor this year’s race given our long-standing partnership with the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo racecourse.

The Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo hosts 69 group races per year, including events such as Gran Premio República, Gran Premio Polla de Potrillos y Potrancas, and Gran Premio Selección.
