Sportradar and the Caribbean Premier League have announced a new partnership agreement that will capture and distribute cricket data.

Following a competitive tender process, the global sports technology company is now the official data partner, official betting streaming partner, and the official integrity partner of the Hero Caribbean Premier League, Massy Women’s Caribbean Premier League, and the SKYEXCH 6IXTY men’s and women’s competitions.

Sportradar will offer more data points from each of the cricket league’s matches to its customers through the utilization of its media and betting products and services and leveraging its technical capabilities.

Audio-visual streaming content from 38 Caribbean Premier League men’s and women’s matches and 19 6IXTY men’s and women’s matches each year will also be supplied.

“This partnership will increase the Caribbean Premier League’s visibility around the world and contribute to its continual growth by connecting it with 2.5 billion cricket fans globally through Sportradar’s global customer network,” commented Eric Conrad, Managing Director of Strategic Partnerships and Content at Sportradar.

“We’re thrilled to be able to support the League and its athletes in reaching a new, global audience.”

Sportradar will also deliver a new Match Centre to the Caribbean Premier League, as well as embeddable components for the tournament website.

The Match Centre features live scores, ball-by-ball commentary, match summaries, scorecards, and visual insights, while the embeddable components include a match ticker, match listings, and standings. The ball-by-ball text commentary is automatically populated by utilizing artificial intelligence and collected live data.

The Caribbean Premier League will also safeguard the integrity of its competitions via Sportradar’s Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS), which identifies any irregular betting patterns to the company’s integrity expert team who investigates further and reports any suspicious activity to the league.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Sportradar for the Hero Caribbean Premier League, Massy Women’s Caribbean Premier League, and SKYEXCH 6IXTY,” added Chris Watson, Hero CPL’s Head of Marketing.

“Their unrivaled Match Centre gives fans the ability to follow matches from our tournaments wherever they are which is another way we can bring our fantastic supporters even closer to the action.”

Sportradar also has cricket partnerships with the International Cricket Council (ICC), Cricket Ireland, Tamil Nadu Premier League, Cricket Scotland, and The Royal Dutch Cricket Association (KNCB).
