Nuvei has confirmed the appointment of Maren Lau and Tim Dent to its board of directors, as the firm seeks to bolster the expertise at its disposal.
Both are veterans of the technology industry, boasting over 20 years of experience in the sector in senior leadership roles, giving them the skillset to steer the payment platform’s future in a healthy way.
Lau is Regional Vice President at Meta for the Latin American region, where she helps brands leverage the company’s platforms to drive business results whilst helping to prepare for the metaverse.
Furthermore, she leads the regional teams to advance the tech giant’s mission of giving propel the power to build communities,
Prior to working at Meta, Lau was a founding partner and CMO of digital marketing firm IMS, where she helped to scale sales and marketing strategies for leading global technology companies throughout Latin America.
Meanwhile, Dent is vastly experienced in the gaming industry. In his previous role, he was CFO and CCO at DraftKings, where he joined at an early stage and helped to build the financial and compliance divisions during a period of rapid growth.
Additionally, Dent has built and oversaw the legal and legislative affairs departments, risk management and payments functions at the mobile sportsbook and online casino operator.
Elsewhere in his career, Dent held executive leadership roles at Everest Gaming, where he led the firm in many stages during its early years.
