Gambling.com has confirmed the appointment of former Scientific Games executive Michael Quartieri to its board of directors.
Quartieri, who served as the global lottery and gaming firm’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer between 2015 and 2020, joined Gambling.com from June 30 following approval from fellow board members.
Recommended by the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, he will also serve with the committee as well as the Audit Committee, strengthening the gaming experience and expertise of the gambling group’s senior leadership.
“Michael brings an exceptional track record to Gambling.com Group and is a renowned and highly respected executive within the gaming and entertainment industry, as well as among institutional investors and analysts,” said Charles Gillespie, Chief Executive Officer of Gambling.com Group.
“His broad business acumen in operations, mergers and acquisitions, international business, capital formation, and investor relations will be a great asset to our board of directors.”
In his time with Scientific Games, Quartieri managed over $700m in acquisitions and was a key player in the firm’s SciPlay subsidiary’s $352m IPO.
Elsewhere in his career, Gambling.com’s newest board member has served as the CFO of restaurant and entertainment firm Dave & Buster’s, Executive Vice President, CFO and Corporate Secretary and live streaming firm LiveOne.
Boasting further gaming experience, Quartieri spent nine years at Las Vegas Sands in multiple roles ending up as Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Global Controller.
