Popular baseball content creator Jared Carrabis has been named as part of DraftKings’ media lineup, producing a podcast with the sportsbook giant.
Carrabis has built up a following for his in-depth analysis of baseball games and his love of the Boston Red Sox and will support DraftKings’ online output.
He will create weekly baseball-focused podcasts, breaking down the latest action and engaging with fan opinion as well as aiding its YouTube offering.
Carrabis will bring his knowledge of baseball, engaging hot takes, and the most up-to-date news from the Red Sox to the DraftKings YouTube channel, as well as launch two new podcasts, ‘Baseball is Dead’ and ‘Jared Carrabis.’
‘Baseball is Dead’ is a mocking reference to those who refer to MLB as ‘dead’ and will break down the latest action from the division whilst attempting to grow the game across the country.
Meanwhile, the ‘Jared Carrabis Podcast’ will focus on the host’s passion for the game and the Red Sox and offer behind-the-scenes content.
“I am thrilled to bring my deep passion for baseball and sports betting to DraftKings,” said Carrabis. “Not only do we share roots in Boston, but we also share the same vision to deliver exciting content to sports fans everywhere. I can’t wait for fans to see what we have planned for this year’s MLB season.”
From late April, DraftKings will host a live vlog each Tuesday in which MLB fans can interact with Carrabis whilst matches are being played.
The media personality is the latest addition to DraftKings’ media output team which already includes Meadowlark Media; ‘Stupodity with StuGotz,’ ‘Mystery Crate’ with Mike Ryan, Bill Gil, Roy Bellamy and Chris Cote, ‘Montgomery and Co.’ featuring Renee Montgomery, and new shows ‘Basketball Illuminati’ with Amin Elhassan and Tom Haberstroh and ‘Point Forward’ with Andre Iguodala and Evan Turner.
“We’re thrilled to add Jared Carrabis to our growing portfolio of content creators. He brings credibility as a subject matter expert while striking an authentic tone that resonates with sports fans,” added DraftKings Vice President of Programming Stacie McCollum. “We continue to expand the DraftKings content experience by building a platform for independent voices and emerging talent such as Carrabis.”
