Nicole Musicco joins Playmaker Capital Inc board of directors

Digital sports media firm Playmaker Capital Inc has confirmed the appointment this week of Nicole Musicco to its board of directors with immediate effect.

Musicco is a Partner at RedBird Capital Partners, a private investment firm with $5bn in assets under management focused on building high-growth companies in the sports, TMT, financial services, and consumer sectors. 

Among a broad portfolio of sports-related assets, RedBird holds active investments in Fenway Sports Group and the XFL

Prior to joining RedBird she spent over 16 years in a broad range of senior leadership roles at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, culminating with her role as Senior Managing Director and Head of Public Equities. 

In 2018, Nicole was recruited to lead the private markets investment program at Investment Management Corporation of Ontario, a pension asset management firm with over $70bn in assets under management.

Musicco’s appointment follows the resignation of board member Jake Cassaday who will remain in his role as Chief Operating Officer of Playmaker.
