Play+ is conducting short, streamed interviews at next week’s Betting on Sports America to explore some of the stories behind the gambling industry. The firm’s Phil Beere told us more about its plans to catch up with some of the industry’s most revered figures in New Jersey, as well as the company’s longer term vision, which includes ambitions to develop an omni-channel platform for the newly liberalized market.

SBC Americas: Why have you set out to interview those with an interesting gambling-based background?

Phil Beere: Play+ is committed to responsible gaming and sharing the latest industry information. The media booth, and creating good content, is a partnership with SBC and is our way to help pay it forward and contribute to bettering the industry.

SBCA: How will you make best use of this content?

PB: The interviews will be made available as video files, audio files, and written articles. The Play+ media team is a full production, including journalists, producers, videographers, interview hosts, and photographers. The stories will then be made available for sharing via YouTube, Instagram, iTunes, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn Publishing.

SBCA: What makes Betting on Sports America a good launchpad for this concept?

PB: Look no further than the speaker lineup, the venue, and SBC’s reputation for organizing stellar events. New Jersey and the conference is the perfect setting for capturing dynamic guests and the energy around sports betting in America.

SBCA: Can you outline the long term vision for Play+?

PB: Our vision is to continue to research and implement the best FinTech systems, which we hope will improve the guest experience and enhance the operating systems for casino resorts and sports betting platforms that are already out there. Part of our plan is to also continue improving, remaining innovative, engage the industry, and providing an omni-channel platform.
