Sports betting and gaming solutions provider Golden Race has offered a brief review of 2018, highlighting progress made in the North American and LatAm markets, as well as developments in its established territories. The firm, which will take part in next April’s Betting on Sports America event, also confirmed its presence at numerous industry events around the world including North and South America, Asia, Europe, Africa and Australia.

“Sports Betting in the US has become the hottest topic in the land,” the company stated. “Lotteries, albeit most of them were caught by surprise following the SCOTUS decision, are vying for position to be able to offer a form of the product to their customers. Industry reports are predicting that legal sports-betting is likely to spread to anywhere between 25 and 35 US states by 2023.”

It added: “Not all states will follow the same model but most of them will find a way to launch a form of sportsbook to their customers. Online betting will follow suit albeit at a slower pace with the same industry reports predicting between 11 and 22 states allowing for it.”

This year’s G2E Las Vegas was, said Golden Race, one of the most important shows from an exhibitor perspective given that it was the first major event to follow the Supreme Court’s repeal of PASPA. The company was also in Las Vegas to attend The Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention (NIGA) and, in Cleveland for the NASPL Annual Conference.

George Vonapartis, Golden Race Regional Director, North America, commented: “Our visit in Cleveland meant the entry of Golden Race into the NASPL as an associate member; an achievement that demonstrates our ongoing commitment to work together with the local industry to bring the best gaming experience to the end customer. The acceptance of our application, following stringent eligibility requirements, is a recognition of our efforts to responsibly grow our company within regulatory gambling frameworks.”

Turning to matters further south, Golden Race said that it is aware of the importance that the Latin American market is acquiring, hence its presence in Colombia to attend FADJA and GOL Expo. “In Peru, we attended Peru Gaming Show and, recently we have been in Argentina to take part in the World Lottery Summit,” said the firm. “Whilst in LatAm, Golden Race considered two major factors; the myriad regulatory regimes there and, crucially, player tastes from country to country.”
