Former Nevada Gaming Control Board chairman Mark Lipparelli has been appointed as an outside advisor at sports betting platform and online casino developer Decent.bet. His brief, according to the firm, is to help ‘navigate technological and regulatory hurdles’. Specifically he will advise on market entry guidance, company growth plans and regulatory frameworks.
Lipparelli served as the board’s chairman from 2009 to 2012 and has a long association with gaming and technology. He was appointed a Nevada state senator in 2014, representing the 6th District and is a founder of Gioco Ventures as well as a member of the board of directors at Golden Entertainment.
On his latest appointment, he commented: “I have advised a number of public and private entities in the gaming, sports and entertainment industries. Gaming technologies within the casino and social sectors are changing at a faster pace and customer preferences are evolving as a result. Working with Decent.bet as it prepares for market entry in select international jurisdictions will help the company’s growth plans.”
Decent.bet founder and CEO Jedidiah Taylor welcomed the new addition to his team, saying: “Mark Lipparelli is one of the most respected minds in the gaming industry. His practical knowledge of gaming technology, as well as global policy and markets, will strengthen our company in profound ways. We want to establish a regulatory compliance framework early to ensure we can expand globally without limitation.”
