The American Conference Institute has released details, including the speaker line-up for this year’s Online Gaming Conference. Taking place at Le Meridien Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from July 23 to 25, the event aims to facilitate engagement between operators and regulators to support the development of a favourable regulatory landscape.
The speaker roster includes Jan Jones Blackhurst, executive VP Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility at Caesars Entertainment; Susan Hensel Esq, director of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s Bureau of Licensing; Stephen Martino, senior vice president & chief compliance officer at MGM Resorts International; Richard Schuetz, former executive director at the Bermuda Casino Gaming Commission and a California Gambling Control Board commissioner; Tonya Henderson, vice president of compliance at CG Technology; Dr Joerg Hofmann, a Partner at Melchers law firm and former president of IMGL; and Justin Jarman, co-founder and CEO, Youbetme.
In its event preamble, the organiser stated: “The US online gaming industry has been invigorated. With Pennsylvania’s legalisation of online gaming and the Supreme’s Court’s potential overturning of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act – interest in online gaming continues to grow. The industry has faced numerous obstacles including federal vs state legislation. Now, there’s been a renewed interest in understanding the legislative approaches, compliance frameworks, state-to-state gaming opportunities and technological developments, to help bring about the market growth the industry has been waiting for.”
In addition to the two-day main conference, opening Day July 23 will serve as a practical workshop where operators and stakeholders can discuss in greater detail issues surrounding sports wagering and partnerships.
