Global Gaming Women (GGW) is celebrating a major milestone with new goals and the launch of commemorative content and programming.
GGW has reached its 10th anniversary as an independent non-profit organization that supports women in gaming with development tools and networking opportunities. The organization debuted in 2016 with backing from the American Gaming Association and has since expanded its reach to over 60 countries.
As of today, GGW has a membership of more than 9,000 women and will continue to serve them as it marks its 10th year of operation.
“For the last 10 years, Global Gaming Women has positively influenced the lives and careers of thousands of women in the gaming industry through education, mentorship and training,” said GGW President and Board Chair Siobhan Lane. “As we celebrate GGW’s accomplishments and journey to its current state, we are laser-focused on scaling our reach and impact while developing the next generation of women in gaming.”
To celebrate, GGW is rolling out a new content series that celebrates a landmark moment in its goal of supporting women in gaming. The series, Milestones that Moved Us, is a collection of video interviews with GGW members that highlight key moments in the non-profit’s history. GGW is also bolstering its podcast content for its Fair Game program. The organization will also be delivering new activations for new and prospective members at G2E later this year.
GGW is also offering new looks to celebrate its 10th year. The organization has crafted a celebratory logo and opened an online store with branded merchandise.
Notable figures for GGW
According to GGW’s latest Annual Report, the organization raised $1.8m in 2025 behind 75 sponsors. GGW distributed $843,512 in scholarships throughout the year.
“As a volunteer-driven organization, GGW sincerely thanks the thousands of members and allies who have given their time and talent over the years in support of GGW’s mission and values, and a special thanks to our sponsors for their financial support, without which, none of this would be possible,” continued Lane.
The organization awarded 469 scholarships in 2025, a 115% increase year-over-year.
Looking ahead, GGW wants to continue growing its membership in 2026. The organization is hoping to have the backing of 10,000 people who want to support women in gaming.
New leadership roles at GGW
GGW is celebrating its 10th anniversary after introducing new leadership in 2025.
Lane was named GGW President and Chair in December 2025 after serving as the non-profit’s first Vice President. The Light & Wonder Chief Executive Officer of Gaming replaced Light & Wonder Vice President of Sales Lauren Bates in the top roles.
GGW filled Lane’s vacancy as VP by assigning former Caesars Entertainment executive Brandi Ellis to the role. The group also appointed a second VP, Venetian Resort VP of People Operations Adriana Kasunic.
The Venetian executive relinquished her role as GGW’s board secretary, a role that is being filled by current Seminole Casino Immokalee Vice President of Finance Julie Woodruff.
