FanDuel announced the release of a new product offering that allows multiple users to combine and create a group parlay.

The Flutter-owned brand announced on Monday the debut of Pass The Leg, a product introduced exclusively for the NFL’s Thanksgiving Day games that makes FanDuel the first major U.S. sportsbook to offer a multi-user parlay building product. FanDuel has not disclosed whether it will make Pass the Leg available after Thanksgiving and for betting markets outside of the NFL.

“Pass The Leg is all about how our customers actually experience sports—together, sharing excitement, and creating memories around the games they love,” said FanDuel Sportsbook Managing Director Karol Corcoran. “We listened to how fans were already collaborating in group chats and family gatherings and built a feature that brings that natural social energy directly into their betting experience.”

FanDuel is providing fans with a new wagering experience following demand to provide an integrated parlay-building product. Pass The Leg allows users to build a parlay of between three and 25 legs, with boosts also available for each user who submits a leg. A FanDuel spokesperson confirmed to SBC Americas that users from multiple states can pool legs in the same parlay.

New venture for FanDuel

FanDuel is set to debut a new in-app integration as it gears up to launch a prediction market product in December through a joint venture with CME Group. The platform will offer event contracts with CME Group being a futures commission merchant registered with the National Futures Association and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

FanDuel Predicts will be available in markets where online sports betting is not legalized, but will not be available on tribal lands. The platform will allow sports event contract trading on football, basketball, baseball and hockey. FanDuel Predicts will also offer event contract trading for other verticals, including economics and politics.

FanDuel plans to offer event contract trading despite pushback. Last week, FanDuel resigned from the American Gaming Association amid its anti-prediction market stance.

DraftKings also split ties with the association as it prepares to offer event contracts. The two operators also pulled their license applications in Nevada after the state’s gaming regulator warned operators that offering event contracts could put their licenses in jeopardy.
