Thoroughbred racing and entertainment company 1/ST is bringing fresh content to North American bettors through a partnership with a Turkish club.
On Thursday, 1/ST’s content division announced an expanded partnership with the Jockey Club of Turkey to exclusively deliver advance deposit wagering (ADW) on horse races in the transcontinental country. The deal provides bettors in North America with access to pool betting for all Turkish races in regulated gaming markets that authorize ADW. 1/ST Content is leveraging a pact with Sky Racing World to deliver content to North America.
The pact also provides ADW on Turkish races in South American and Canadian markets.
“This agreement once again shows the power and agility that our global strategic alliances are fostering across both parimutuel and fixed-odds formats,” said 1/ST Content SVP International Simon Fraser. “These complementary long-term partnerships are bringing an international racing experience to wider audiences across the planet, all seamlessly unlocked via the state-of-the-art technology at the core of our AmTote platform.”
1/ST’s AmTote Spectrum platform delivers fixed-odds to provide parimutuel wagering. The sports wagering and horse racing platform handles over $5 billion in bets annually.
1/ST will provide its standard wagering markets for its Turkish races to bettors in North and South America. The bet types include win, place, show and exotic wagers. The exotic wagers include exacta, quinella, swinger, trifecta, Pick 3 and Pick 4 bets.
1/ST also plans to expand the reach of Turkish races to bettors in Australia and Germany.
“Consequently, we feel sure that this is a collaboration which will continue to mark off new firsts to drive growth and generate diversified revenues for our own domestic racing from the international marketplace,” said Jockey Club of Turkey CEO Tuncel Aydın.
Major acquisition bolsters 1/ST’s offerings
1/ST is bringing fresh content to North American bettors after acquiring ADW platform DRF Bets earlier this year for an undisclosed price. The Ontario-based horse racing giant acquired DRF Bets from Affinity Interactive, the parent company of Daily Racing Form.
1/ST completed the deal through its technology division, which also houses Xpressbet. The company rebranded DRF Bets as part of the transaction to 1/ST BET PRO.
