Rush Street Interactive (RSI) is continuing to make leadership changes.
The Chicago-based online sports betting and casino giant announced the promotion of CFO Kyle Sauers to President. Sauers, who joined RSI in 2020, will continue in his role as CFO while serving as the company’s new president. The promotion allows Sauers to oversee RSI’s daily operations along with managing the company’s financial strategy.
“This new structure allows us to build on our momentum, enabling me to focus more deeply on innovation, online casino legalization and regulatory advocacy, as well as strategic opportunities, while Kyle continues to maximize the potential of our existing markets through strong execution and operational alignment,” said RSI CEO Richard Schwartz. “Together, our complementary strengths will help us deliver long-term, sustainable growth.”
Before joining RSI, Sauers spent more than five years at Echo Global Logistics as CFO. Sauers was promoted to the role at Echo after serving as the company’s SVP of Finance.
Sauers is also currently a board member at supply chain and logistics company Dynamic Connections. He is also on the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Lake County board. The child advocacy organization offers support for abused and neglected children.
“I’m honored to take on this expanded role and continue working alongside our exceptional teams to advance RSI’s mission,” said Sauers. “We have an extraordinary culture grounded in innovation, integrity, and accountability.”
RSI adds to recent leadership changes
RSI promoted Sauers to president after appointing a new CTO last month.
The BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse owner hired former Warner Bros, Discovery CTO Shubham Tyagi as its new CTO, who brings more than 20 years of leadership experience to RSI. Tyagi reports directly to Schwartz. The hiring of Tyagi adds to recent strategic hires made by RSI to bolster leadership of the company’s marketing and product operations.
