Hard Rock Digital’s free-to-play gaming arm Hard Rock Games has recruited actor and television host Mario Lopez as brand ambassador for its Hard Rock Jackpot Planet product.

Hard Rock Jackpot Planet, launched this summer, integrates Las Vegas-style slot machines and what the company describes as “non-stop entertainment” for players, outside of the operator’s typical online casino or sportsbook offerings. It allows users to play a wide range of slot games as well as complete missions, play with friends and earn digital tokens through gameplay.

Saved By The Bell star and Access Hollywood Lopez will be the face of Hard Rock Jackpot Planet’s Spin Like A Star campaign across television, print, digital and in-game experiences.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of Hard Rock, so joining Hard Rock Games and being part of Jackpot Planet just feels like a perfect fit,” Lopez said in a press release. “I’m excited to bring that same fun and energy to players everywhere and help make their experience as awesome as the brand itself.”

Hard Rock ties social gaming to real-world rewards

Hard Rock Digital acquired free-to-play mobile games specialist WGames in late 2023 and formed the Hard Rock Games social games soon afterward. It runs a wide range of social games, including Jackpot Planet, Neverland Casino, Jackpot Casino, Hard Rock Adventures, blackjack and other casino table games and more.

Hard Rock Games Managing Director and WGames Founder Daniel Kajouie said Lopez is “the ultimate embodiment of the Hard Rock spirit” and the perfect partner for Jackpot Planet. “We’re excited to have Mario on board to help us bring the thrill of our social games to fans everywhere.”

Hard Rock Games’ platforms like Jackpot Planet link to the Unity by Hard Rock loyalty reward program, allowing users to build up reward points through spending on social games and redeem them for real-world experiences in person or online.

Hard Rock Digital said at the time of the launch of Hard Rock Games that tying together the rewards program offered free-play customers an introduction to Hard Rock’s hospitality locations and casinos. Players have to spend money on the free-play social games to earn points. Every eligible $1 spent on virtual items in certain Hard Rock Games earns one Tier Credit to help Unity members move up through tiers of Hard Rock’s loyalty program.

Points can redeem for room upgrades, concert tickets and food at more than 150 Hard Rock casinos, hotels and cafés worldwide, or for free play online. The website’s terms and conditions stress that loyalty points are not related to the outcome of gameplay, are not currency and may not be redeemed for cash.
