Gaming Labs International (GLI) reached an acquisiton agreement from one of the world’s largest private equity firms.
CVC Capital Partners reportedly secured a deal to acquire full ownership of GLI and the testing provider’s Kobetron business, according to a filing with Austria’s competition authority. CVC Capital Partners plans to make the transaction through Avalon Buyer Limited, a London-based holding company controlled by the private equity firm.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The parties included in the transaction have until July 31 to submit public comments to Austrian regulators. A separate filing in Malta was submitted to the market’s Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority on July 11.
The regulator gave the parties seven days to submit public comments on the transaction.
The acquisition provides CVC Capital Partners with a property in the gaming industry that plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance, security and fair customer experiences. CVC Capital Partners has a portfolio that features gaming brands and businesses in sports, infrastructure and tech, including Gaming1, Bruin Capital, Webpros and Sogelink.

According to Private Equity International, CVC Capital Partners is the sixth-largest private equity firm in the world having raised $72.4 billion between 2020 and 2024.
