Raketech is moving on from its U.S. tipster and subscription business.
The Malta-based company entered into an agreement to divest its non-core U.S. tipster and subscription business following a strategic review of its business operations. Raketech is divesting its non-core U.S. assets for a total consideration of roughly $1.5 million.
Raketech’s non-core subscription and U.S. tipster assets include Winnersandwhiners.com, Picksandparlays.net and Statsalt.com.
The transaction, which is expected to close by July 2025, requires $522,000 paid at closing with $406,000 due after nine months. The final $522,000 payment is due after 18 months.
“This divestment supports our strategic focus on the company’s platform-first approach and our commitment to financial discipline by discontinuing operations in areas outside our key commercial strengths,” said Raketech CEO Johan Svensson.
Raketech is expected to incur a monthly cost savings of roughly $174,000 once the divestment closes. The online content and affiliate company is shifting its focus in North America after its U.S. tipster operations reported an operational loss of $580,000 in Q2 2025 with advisory fees for the business reaching $231,000 during the period.
Raketech adds to divestments in North America
Last July, Raketech reached an agreement to divest its U.S. advisory business in a deal valued at $2.2 million. Raketech divested ATS Consultants Inc. and sold the advisory business to its management team after purchasing the asset in 2021 for $15.5 million.
Raketech’s divestment of ATS was subject to a one-off non-cash impairment charge. The company expected the non-cash impairment charge to be approximately $10.8 million.
Raketech sold ATS due to its ability to increase traffic in the U.S. through a fully digital lead conversion model compared to its previous manual, high-touch process. The affiliate company is maintaining a presence in the U.S. through its AffiliationCloud platform.
The platform streamlines affiliate marketing strategies for online casino brands.
