GeoLocs is providing operators with a compliance solution through a new partnership.
The London-based geolocation provider for casino, lottery and sports betting operators has secured a strategic partnership with AI-powered identify verification platform ARGOS. As part of the deal, GeoLocs and ARGOS are working together to deliver an integrated compliance solution for online casino operators across the global gaming industry.
GeoLocs and ARGOS are delivering a solution that streamlines the identity and location verification process allowing operators to efficiently adhere to regulatory standards while protecting players from fraud. ARGOS and GeoLocs teamed up to develop the new compliance solution amid demand to unify identity verification and geolocation services.
“Our mission at GeoLocs has always been to enable operators to meet geolocation compliance requirements without compromising on user experience,” said GeoLocs Head of Sales Ben Scobie-Trumper. “Partnering with ARGOS strengthens that mission by expanding our ability to offer robust and reliable identity verification as part of a broader compliance solution.”
The partnership allows operators to leverage ARGOS’ identity verification and anti-money laundering tools while using GeoLocs’ geolocation technology. The unified compliance solution offered by ARGOS and GeoLocs also screens against global sanction lists.
GeoLocs measures success rates
ARGOS and GeoLocs are allowing operators to combat potential revenue losses.
GeoLocs has reported a 0.5% failure rate for opt-ins for location access for its operator partners. By comparison, failure rates across the industry sit at roughly 5%.
“A small, healthy failure rate shows that your geolocation solution is doing its job: accurately detecting issues, blocking bad actors and supporting real players through the verification journey,” Scobie-Trumper told SBC Americas earlier this year.
GeoLocs reported a favorable rate behind its distribution of failure codes. The personalized failure codes allow operators to send tailored, real-time prompts to customers who experience geolocation failures. The codes provide details on whether the customer’s location settings are enabled or the availability of Wi-Fi to determine exact location.
In addition to ARGOS, GeoLocs also has partnerships with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, White Hat Gaming, and the Arizona Lottery.
