Arizona’s Desert Diamond Casinos has selected White Hat Gaming to power the relaunch of its mobile sportsbook, which will now be available to users across the state.

Through a multi-year partnership, White Hat will deliver its player account management (PAM) platform to support the Bet Desert Diamond sportsbook in the Grand Canyon State.

Desert Diamond Casinos is owned and operated by the Tohono O’odham Nation and has five gaming destinations across the state.

Desert Diamond Casinos will be the only locally operated Arizona casino to offer mobile sports betting to players statewide. The companies noted in a release that White Hat’s full-service PAM platform and its Traveling Wallet solution will allow users in Arizona to move between the Tohono O’odham Nation’s tribal land and locations across the state, supporting the casino’s on-premise expansion plans.

“We are excited to partner with White Hat Gaming as we continue to lead Arizona’s gaming industry into the digital era,” said Desert Diamond Casinos CEO Daniele Chilton. “As the only local casino offering mobile sports betting statewide, this collaboration reflects our commitment to providing top-tier entertainment while honoring our commitment to tribal sovereignty, economic opportunity, and community enrichment.”

Desert Diamond’s online and in-person sportsbook had been powered by Kambi since 2021 via a multi-year deal. Kambi and White Hat Gaming work together on a portfolio of gaming offerings, including online casino and sports betting for Bally’s.

White Hat Gaming’s proprietary product includes its PAM, cashier and traveling wallet solution. The company also serves as an aggregator of third-party providers, providing online gaming content from more than 130 providers as well as sportsbooks.

“This partnership reflects our ongoing dedication to providing scalable, compliant and player-first technology to tribal operators who are embracing digital transformation and choosing to build their online future in a true collaboration with White Hat Gaming,” added White Hat CEO Gaming CEO Phil Gelvan.

Desert Diamond finds oasis in Arizona market

While numerous sportsbooks have backed out of the Arizona market over the last 18 months, Desert Diamond has been a steady presence in the state.

The company’s Director of Sportsbook, Laurel Pittman, told SBC Americas last year that the brand has benefited from offering a local feel in a market that also hosts several out-of-state and overseas companies.

Incidentally, Pittman is a panelist at this week’s SBC Summit Americas on Thursday, May 15, where she and other panelists will discuss the digital gambling opportunities that exist for tribal casinos.
