Betting Hero is adding new talent to its leadership team as the company continues to redefine new-user acquisition, product research and marketing services in the gambling space
Former Better Collective North America COO Scott Miller is joining Betting Hero’s executive leadership after spending nearly eight years leading affiliate efforts for Better Collective’s North American activity, including The Action Network. Miller, who joined Action Network four years before its $240 million acquisition by Better Collective in 2021, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the gaming space to Betting Hero as the company heads into its next phase of growth.
Miller brings extensive NA media knowledge
“When Jeremy and I set out to build Betting Hero in 2018, we did so, knowing that our long-term success would be determined by the quality of the people in pursuit of our collective mission,” Betting Hero co-founder and President Jai Maw told SBC Americas.
“While our goals and objectives have changed, our mission and commitment to assembling best-in-class teams throughout the company has not.”
Miller’s leadership experience allows for a seamless transition to his new role.
“We’ve always admired the work Scott has done in the industry and we’re thrilled to have him on the team at Betting Hero,” co-founder Jeremy Jakary told SBC Americas.
Betting Hero keeps rolling out changes
The new hire comes not long after Betting Hero closed a major transaction in 2024.
Last August, Betting Hero was sold to Hero Group Corp., an entity controlled by Maw and Jakary with financial backing from GeoComply. The business was sold by sports and entertainment company FansUnite in a deal valued at approximately $37.5 million.
FansUnite acquired Betting Hero in 2021 after buying its parent company American Affiliate.
“I was really drawn to Betting Hero’s ability to do incredibly hard things very well,” Miller told SBC Americas. “On a personal level, I’m energized by the challenge of trying to climb the mountain again —and doing it alongside a team I’ve long admired from afar.”
