FanDuel TV is bolstering its responsible gaming efforts with a new program.
The linear cable TV network announced on Monday the debut of The Comeback with Craig Carton, a new program dedicated to problem gambling recovery hosted by FS1 personality Craig Carton. The show creates an open dialogue between Carton and guests on the experiences of gambling addiction and how to raise awareness for recovery.
Carton, a FanDuel responsible gaming ambassador, has established a safe space for problem gambling discussions as someone who has suffered from problem gambling.
“As someone who has personally navigated the challenges of gambling addiction, I understand the impact it can have on your life and the lives of those you care about,” said Carton. “The road to recovery isn’t easy, but I’ve committed myself to helping others who are facing similar struggles. My mission for this show is to inspire hope, offer support, and remind everyone that the path to regaining control starts with understanding.”
In addition to discussing problem gambling recovery, The Comeback with Craig Carton will also cover topics including money management, self-exclusion tools and support services.
FanDuel kicked off the program with 11-year NBA veteran Randy Livingston, who shares his story as a former gambling addict who is now in recovery and an RG advocate.
“Our hope for The Comeback With Craig Carton is to raise awareness of problem gambling and foster open dialogue to tackle the stigma that still exists today,” said FanDuel SVP of Public Policy and Sustainability Cory Fox. “Whether those conversations are amongst friends, spouses, parents or coaches, we want to educate our audience on what the warning signs are and be comfortable asking for help.”
FanDuel debuts RG tool
FanDuel recently launched My Spend, a tool designed to help customers track their spending patterns with the operator. The company’s new user dashboard provides customers with personal stats, including deposit amounts and net winnings.
My Spend also provides customers with access to FanDuel’s existing RG resources. It is available across FanDuel’s entire suite of products for racing, sports betting and iGaming.
