Sports betting technology provider Kambi has received approval from the Nevada Gaming Commission to enter Las Vegas and the Silver State.
The Swedish company announced on Friday that it is now licensed to provide its sportsbook technology and services to licensed gaming operators across Nevada for the first time, which it says marks “a significant step towards launching in one of the world’s most iconic betting markets.”
It was unanimously recommended for a Manufacturer & Distributor Licence and an Information Services Licence by the Nevada Gaming Control Board earlier this month.
“With limited B2B competition in the state due to the high regulatory requirements, Nevada presents Kambi with future growth opportunities in line with its strategy to expand its footprint across the Americas,” said the firm.
“Securing approval for our licences in Nevada is an important milestone for Kambi and a testament to our market-leading technology, regulatory expertise and corporate integrity'” said CEO Werner Becher. “Nevada is widely known as the gold standard for betting and gaming regulation, insisting on a standard that few companies can meet, and is therefore recognition of Kambi’s unwavering commitment to excellence.”
Kambi already has an exclusive deal to power betting at Bally’s Nevada properties on a B2B basis and also works with the likes of PENN Entertainment, Rush Street Interactive and Mohegan in the U.S.
Globally, it serves more than 45 operators in more than 50 jurisdictions, including 15 U.S. states and the Canadian province of Ontario, and processes more than one billion wagers each year.
