The American Gaming Association (AGA) is making efforts to promote responsible gaming to motorsports fans with the help of one of the largest entities in the sport.
The AGA has announced a partnership with NASCAR to provide responsible sports betting messaging on TV broadcasts during the organization’s playoffs. The AGA deployed its first wave of RG messaging on NBC broadcasts this past week during the Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway. The AGA will also air RG messaging during Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Championship race, which will be aired on NBC from Phoenix Raceway.
The AGA and NASCAR have a relationship that started in September 2020 with NASCAR becoming the first U.S. professional sports league to secure a partnership with the AGA.
NASCAR expands its reach in gaming
NASCAR has teamed up with the AGA as it solidifies a footprint in the gaming industry.
NASCAR landed a four-year extension of its media rights partnership in 2023 with sports data aggregator Sportradar and also agreed to a multiyear deal with FanDuel. The pact provides Flutter’s U.S. brand with rights to use certain NASCAR signage and logos.
Earlier this year, the motorsports organization secured a partnership with DraftKings in North Carolina as the state became America’s newest regulated sports betting market. The market access deal also makes DraftKings an Authorized Gaming Operator in the Tar Heel State in addition to being named an official daily fantasy sports partner of NASCAR.
Bettors nationwide are also indulging in NASCAR micro-betting markets after nVenue landed a deal with sportsbook platform Amelco to provide live in-race markets. NASCAR and nVenue initially agreed to a race data and micro-betting partnership deal last August.
