Unabated Sports to navigate NBA wagering changes
Unabated has prepared for a new NBA season as operators make rule changes.
A group of sportsbooks, including DraftKings and FanDuel, have agreed to not offer player prop markets for NBA players who are on two-way or 10-day contracts this season.
The decision comes after former Toronto Raptor Jontay Porter received a lifetime banishment from the NBA for his role in an illegal gambling scheme. The scheme saw Porter manipulate his own performances to alleviate debts owed to a bookie.
As a result of his role, Porter has pleaded guilty to federal criminal charges. He faces up to 20 years in prison and significant fines with a sentencing hearing scheduled for Dec. 18.
