Caesars Entertainment is preparing for a new NFL season with a partnership with a historic franchise.
The gaming and hospitality giant has announced a partnership with the Detroit Lions, making the company’s wagering platform the team’s official sports betting partner. The partnership between Caesars and the Lions also includes Caesars’ iGaming operations.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the Detroit Lions to bring opportunities to their fans that cater to their interests and are unique to the royal experience only Caesars can deliver,” said Caesars Digital President Eric Hession. “We’ve enjoyed a great relationship with sports fans in Michigan, and partnering with one of the most passionate fan bases in the NFL will help us grow that connection as we continue to expand our offerings in the state.”
As part of the new partnership, Caesars plans to launch a live dealer blackjack iGaming title that features Lions logos. The game will be available exclusively in Michigan at the start of the NFL season on Caesars Palace Online Casino and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino.
Earlier this year, Caesars Palace Online Casino underwent upgrades to its platform.
Ford Field, the Lions’ home field since 2002, will have signage during Lions games from several Caesars brands, including Horseshoe Online Casino and Caesars Sportsbook. The Lions Radio Network will also feature Caesars brands in radio spots and social media.
RG practices at Caesars Entertainment
Caesars has added the Lions to its portfolio of partners as the company celebrates 35 years of its responsible gaming program. The entertainment conglomerate is celebrating its decades of RG practices amid September being Responsible Gaming Education Month.
Caesars has a history of creating an infrastructure for RG that dates back to 1989. The Las Vegas-based company is responsible for creating the first national helpline in 1995 for problem gambling and has since deployed mass media campaigns for RG awareness.
