Adam D’arcy joins Trustly as the company’s Chief Product Officer

Trustly, Inc. is bolstering its leadership team with a new hire.

The payment provider has announced the appointment of Adam D’arcy as Chief Product Officer. D’arcy joins Trustly with 20 years of experience in the payment and finance innovation industries and will be integral in the company’s product expansion. Before joining Trustly, D’arcy spent time at Prodigy Finance as CPO. He also had a three-year stint at HSBC where he played a major role in developing PayMe, which is Hong Kong’s most popular payment app with 60% of the region’s population using the platform.

D’arcy is joining a Trustly leadership team that helped guide the company to substantial growth in 2023. According to Trustly’s annual report, the company processed $58 billion in payments in 2023, a 79% increase year-over-year. That same year, the payment provider posted an adjusted EBITDA profit of $51 million compared to $33 million in 2022.

Trustly’s results in 2023 were spearheaded by a strong second half of the year when revenues reached $265 million. The results were a 27% increase compared to H2 2022.

Trustly has a portfolio of over 9,000 merchants across more than 30 markets. Its clients provide the company with access to over 650 million consumers through 12,000 banks.
