BetMGM is remaining a partner of one of NASCAR’s premier racing teams.

The sports betting and online casino brand has extended its partnership with Richard Childress Racing (RCR) to continue as the team’s official sports betting operator. As part of the extension, BetMGM will offer various marketing tools and activations to the 16-time NASCAR championship team.

BetMGM’s extended partnership will be on full display for the Daytona 500 on Feb. 18. The iconic race at Daytona International Speedway will feature RCR drivers Austin Dillon and Kyle Busch. The teammates will have BetMGM signage on their cars for select races.

BetMGM first secured a deal with RCR in 2021, which marked the first-ever pact between a NASCAR team and a sports betting operator.

BetMGM in the fast lane to expansion

The extension with RCR deepens BetMGM’s ties to motorsports.

Earlier this month, BetMGM reached an agreement with Charlotte Motor Speedway to offer online sports betting in North Carolina pending regulatory approval. The North Carolina Lottery Commission will allow licensed operators in the state to begin accepting wagers on March 11.

“North Carolina is home to some of the most passionate motorsports fans in the world and BetMGM’s extended partnership with RCR will surely hit another gear with the start of legalized sports betting in North Carolina,” said BetMGM CRO Matt Prevost in a statement.

BetMGM has also been an authorized NASCAR gaming partner since 2020.

The operator is the third largest sportsbook in America in terms of market share at roughly 17%. BetMGM has market access in more than 20 jurisdictions in North America, including Ontario.
