Relax Gaming has made its debut in the US after obtaining its vendor transactional waiver from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement

The online casino aggregator and content supplier has already made its first client deal on US soil after penning a deal with BetMGM to provide its portfolio of over 4,000 titles.

Relax will trade in the US under its brand name RLX Gaming and will provide BetMGM players in New Jersey with its in-house games, such as The Great Pigsby and Epic Joker

“Launching in New Jersey is a landmark moment for our company. We have enjoyed many successful launches across a number of key regulated markets in the past few years, and this is one of the biggest to date,” said Relax Gaming CEO Simon Hammon.

“BetMGM’s ethos perfectly aligns with our vision, and we expect our partnership to truly flourish.”

Relax Gaming has already enjoyed significant success in North America highlighted by its strong presence in the online casino market in Ontario. The firm is hoping to replicate that success under the RLX Gaming brand in New Jersey and further afield in the US with future plans for growth and expansion.

Alexia Smilovic Ronde, Chief Regulatory Officer, added: “This debut in New Jersey and acquisition of our transactional waiver is a milestone for Relax/RLX Gaming and just the beginning of our endeavors in the next level of US regulated markets.

“This regulatory achievement reflects our commitment to meeting stringent US licensing requirements and provide best-in-class service on all fronts to local operators. Our team looks forward to contributing to the vibrant and evolving landscape of online gaming in the US.”

BetMGM has outlined its ambitions to further improve its online casino library of games as set out by CEO Adam Greenblatt

Greenblatt noted that it would invest further in its online casino product to further its leadership position in the online casino sector and improve its sports betting and igaming market share to over 20%, which currently sits at 17%.

Oliver Bartlett, VP of Gaming Product & Content at BetMGM, said: “BetMGM welcomes Relax Gaming/RLX Gaming into the US iGaming market. We are honoured to be first the operator in the states to bring their diverse and engaging portfolio of games to our award-winning online casino.”
