BetMGM and Inspired Entertainment have collaborated to launch MGM Bonus City, an online hybrid deal casino game.

The new game leverages Inspired’s technology that uses CGI, green screen technology and footage of real dealers to create a ‘hybrid’ model. Both parties state that hybrid dealer games are a new genre of game that uses both real and digital elements.

MGM Bonus City will take players to Las Vegas where players can virtually visit four MGM casino properties on the Strip. Players can be transported to New York-New York, Luxor, MGM Grand and Bellagio.

The game is available for BetMGM online casino players in New Jersey and will soon launch in both Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Oliver Bartlett, Senior Director of Gaming at BetMGM, said: “MGM Bonus City brings an added level of fun to BetMGM, allowing players to experience MGM Resorts’ Las Vegas casinos in a new way. We’re confident that our customers will enjoy this unique digital offering.”

The benefit of hybrid games, Inspired outlines, is that no studio is required for use because outcomes are random number-generated with scheduled action taking place 24/7.

Inspired has also launched a deal with the NBA to provide official league-themed virtual sports games for US audiences.

“We are thrilled to partner with BetMGM to introduce our revolutionary Hybrid Dealer technology via MGM Bonus City,” said Brooks Pierce, President and Chief Executive Officer of Inspired.

“Our patented technology offers unparalleled opportunities for our customers to provide a realistic ‘as live’ experience to players without the logistics of dedicated studios and staffing. This is just the start of a whole new category of games.”
