MGM Resorts has confirmed it will once again be the presenting sponsor for the Las Vegas Pride Parade which begins on Friday.

The casino operator, which owns multiple properties on the Las Vegas strip, has sponsored the event since 2003 and this year marks the 17th consecutive year of support for the event as a presenting sponsor.

As part of the celebration, MGM Resorts employees will be invited to join the parade alongside an MGM-branded float which will adorn the streets of Las Vegas Boulevard

“We are proud to reaffirm our support for the LGBTQ+ community and celebrate love in all its forms,” said Jyoti Chopra, Chief People, Inclusion and Sustainability Officer at MGM Resorts. “Our participation is an extension of our ongoing efforts to foster a more inclusive and equitable world.”

MGM claims to have long-lasting support for the LGBT+ community, introducing its employees’ same-sex health benefits scheme in 2004. The casino operator also hosts same-sex ceremonies at its chapels across the country.

Moreover, MGM offers free resources for its LGBT+ employees to find healthcare, while it maintains its role as a “vocal advocate for LGBT+ human rights”.

“The Human Rights Campaign recognized MGM Resorts as one of the nation’s “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality” and has achieved a perfect score for 11 consecutive years on the Corporate Equality Index – the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality” – the firm added.
