Oddin.gg has reached another landmark point in its North American strategy, obtaining a temporary license to offer esports betting in Colorado.

The Colorado Division of Gaming has awarded the Czech firm a license to deliver its B2B esports betting solution to operators in the state.

Vlastimil Venclik, Co-Founder and CEO of Oddin.gg, said: “We are thrilled to achieve yet another important milestone for Oddin.gg. Acquiring the Colorado license strengthens our position on the US market, and is another major step in our North American expansion strategy.

“We have been actively working on the acquisition of further US licenses to support both existing clients and prospects in the future.”

The Prague-based B2B firm entered North America in 2022 via the Canadian province of Ontario, after which it reached the US via the New Jersey market.

2022 trading saw Oddin.gg conclude its Series A financing round, during which the company raised $4.5m from investors such as Velo Partners and Genting Ventures. Meanwhile, it secured partners such as Esports Entertainment Group (EEG) in the US to add to its progress in the country.

The firm aims to offer operators “a 360° approach” towards esports betting, providing everything needed to set up operations, including data visualizations, marketing, odds feed, risk management, and iframe.

Venclik added: “With the esports domain in North America projected to witness exponential growth – forecasting a betting volume of approximately $10bn by 2025 – there exists a vast expanse for heightened bettor engagement and an enhanced esports viewing experience.

“This booming market paves the way for forward-thinking US bookmakers to embrace esports, carving out a unique niche among their peers. At Oddin.gg, we’re poised to empower such companies with our award-winning tools and services, driving their success and concurrently elevating the stature of esports.”
