Odds On Compliance has announced the launch of Playbook Brazil, expanding its operations into a third continent and widening the scope of its flagship product.

Playbook Brazil will equip operators in the country with a suite of compliance tools and regulatory information as the regulated market gears up to launch later this year and into 2024.

The product has already been rolled out in the US, Canada, and Europe, offering clients fully updated regulations and documentation for the sports betting, DFS, igaming, casinos, and ilottery verticals.

Meanwhile, the Playbook AI upgraded version allows users to search the directory for specific regulations and ask questions related to compliance.

It comes as anticipation for the launch of Brazil’s market intensifies after President Lula signed the Provisional Measure for sports betting, an event around five years in the making.

The measure provides a regulatory framework on sports betting in Brazil, with a GGR tax rate of 18% imposed on operators, and licenses available across all federal states.

Eric Frank, CEO and Co-Founder of Odds On Compliance, said: “We are thrilled to introduce our latest expansion into South America with PlayBook Brazil. This represents a significant step forward for our company as we continue to provide innovative solutions to the ever-evolving gaming and sports betting industry.

“Brazil presents tremendous opportunities, and we are committed to assisting our clients and all PlayBook subscribers in navigating the complex regulatory landscape.”

As well as taking its Playbook product into Brazil, Odds On Compliance has enlisted local expertise to help it maximize the Brazilian opportunity. The firm has partnered with betting and gaming law firm Feijo Bertolini Advogados to gain further insights into the intricacies of Brazil’s legal and regulatory framework.

Ricardo Feijó, Attorney at Feijó Bertolini Advogados, stated: “We are proud to partner with Odds On Compliance and be a part of PlayBook Brazil. This synergy between legal expertise and compliance solutions is essential for the gaming industry’s success in Brazil.

“Together, we aim to provide the most comprehensive support to the industry seeking to thrive in this emerging market.”

As part of Responsible Gambling Education Month, SBC Americas spoke with Odds On Compliance’s Director of Regulatory Affairs John Wellendorf, who explained how operators can adequately fulfill RG goals by having strong regulatory compliance.
