betJACK has joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), becoming the global group’s first new member of 2023.

The betting arm of JACK Entertainment, betJACK is an Ohio-based firm that launched its online and retail sports wagering platforms on day one of regulated sports betting in the state on Jan 1.

After going live in the Buckeye State, the brand has now committed to betting integrity by signing up to the IBIA, the globally recognized ‘voice’ of the industry on matters relating to integrity.

“We are excited to launch betJACK in Ohio and look forward to partnering with IBIA for their proven track record of providing critical integrity monitoring and protection services for the sports betting industry,” said Adam Suliman, SVP of Sports and Digital Gaming.

The IBIA now has 40-plus members and more than 100 betting brands on its roster, accounting for over $137bn in annual global betting handle and almost half of all regulated commercial operators.

betJACK is the first new IBIA member of 2023, coming after Canada’s BET99 who joined the organization towards the backend of 2022.

Khalid Ali, CEO of IBIA, added: “IBIA is delighted to welcome betJACK to the association. Maintaining the integrity of betting and related sporting events is a crucial part of the development of the sector in North America. betJACK’s decision to join IBIA and its commitment to sports betting integrity attest to its core principles.

“The operator continues IBIA’s expansion across the US regulated market and where our growing membership accounts for around 70% of all regulated online sports betting revenue.”

Sports betting in Ohio is already off to a strong start, as GeoComply data showed that the market had a higher transaction volume than New York in its opening weekend of operations, indicating early signs of living up to the potential that many observers tipped.
