Several sports betting companies and operators have launched their services in the state of Maryland, where online betting launched earlier today.

FanDuel, Rush Street Interactive (RSI), Gambling.com Group, and SCCG Management have all begun offering their services in the Old Line State.

FanDuel and BetRivers sportsbooks live in Maryland

FanDuel has announced that its sportsbook app is now available to download on iOS and Android or play via desktop in Maryland.

Users across the state can now place a variety of wagers through the sportsbook on professional and college football, basketball, baseball, hockey, golf, MMA, boxing, soccer, and tennis. A variety of payment options are also available.

The FanDuel Sportsbook app also features free bet sign-up offers, same game parlay bets, livestreaming of sporting events, Bad Beat Relief, a cash-out early feature, a Sports Betting 101 online betting guide, and a commitment to responsible gaming with in-app tools to help customers control their play.

Rush Street Interactive has also launched its BetRivers sportsbook in the Old Line State across all devices. The launch in the state also includes a special registration offer.

“The much-anticipated launch of online and mobile sports betting in Maryland is here, and just in time for all the NFL and college football action over the Thanksgiving,” commented Richard Schwartz, Chief Executive Officer of RSI.

“We are thrilled to give Maryland’s NFL and college football fans an exciting sports betting experience to enjoy all the holiday action at the touch of their fingertips.

“In addition to football, BetRivers offers them endless entertainment with countless other sports and betting options available for their pleasure, including exciting single game parlays on the NBA and college basketball and bets on the World Cup.”

BetRivers users can wager on spreads, moneylines, props, futures, same game parlays, and more across all major professional and collegiate leagues, games, and players. The sportsbook also features sports livestreaming, deposit and withdrawal methods, automated pay-out approvals for over 80% of requests, as well as bonusing and rewards programs.

Schwartz added: “We focus on the player experience and encourage Marylanders to see for themselves why RSI and BetRivers have received numerous recognitions from the industry for the quality of our product and user experience.

“BetRivers offers an innovative yet simple website and app experience, with more and quicker ways to deposit and withdraw funds, all supported by best-in-class customer service that works hard every day to earn and retain player trust.”

Gambling.com Group officially launches Maryland services

Gambling.com Group has also officially launched its services in Maryland after receiving a vendor registration certification from the Maryland Lottery & Gaming Control Commission to provide affiliate marketing services to licensed online sports betting operators in the state.

The Group launched BetMaryland.com in February 2022 in anticipation of the state’s online sports betting market going live to help sports bettors find trusted, comprehensive, and up-to-date information on sports wagering in the state.

“Maryland is taking the right approach by keeping the barriers to entry low and allowing a variety of operators to enter the market,” commented Charles Gillespie, CEO of Gambling.com Group.

“We believe that this will foster competition and ultimately benefit consumers as the operators with the best products rise to the top. Gambling.com Group is well positioned to help operators and customers succeed in this next wave of regulated legal online sports betting in the United States.”

Caroline Smart, Vice President at Gambling.com Group, added: “Maryland allowing sportsbooks to take legal sports bets just in time for Thanksgiving is a huge success for sports bettors in the state.

“This is an exciting moment for sports bettors to finally place safe and responsible wagers with legal sportsbooks, after years of discussion and negotiation, and the robust offerings in the Maryland market will ensure there are plenty of choices and opportunities for customers. Gambling.com Group is prepared to help bettors navigate their new world of options.”

SCCG Management also has a presence in Maryland as it is powering the partnership between Betfred Sports and Long Shot’s for a retail sportsbook. The two parties will also begin operating an online sportsbook in 2023.
