The American Gaming Association (AGA) has added to its executive team, appointing Maureen Beddis as its new Senior Vice President of Membership and Events.

Beginning her new role on October 31, Beddis will lead the AGA’s member relations, business development and events including the Global Gaming Expo (G2E).

“I’m thrilled to join the dedicated AGA team and advance its mission to foster an environment where legal, regulated gaming thrives,” commented Beddis on her new role.

“I look forward to working with the association’s dynamic membership to deliver value and elevate AGA’s best-in-class events, including G2E.”

Before joining the AGA, Beddis most recently served as the Executive Vice President of Membership and Strategic Initiatives at The Vision Council.

In this role, she took control of the organization’s membership, organizational strategy and operations, including working as a member liaison for the Vision Expo shows and utilizing DEI and Emerging Optical Leaders programs to bring new talent into the industry.

In total, Beddis has worked at The Vision Council for the past 16 years in marketing and communications roles, helping to navigate the organization through the pandemic, redefining its strategy, launching improved member programs, and creating new revenue opportunities.

“We’re delighted to welcome Maureen to the AGA at this critical time for our association and industry,” stated Bill Miller, President and CEO of the AGA.

“Maureen’s career is defined by her ability to drive strategy, convene members and deliver results. Her significant experience as an association executive will bolster our already strong team and help lead our organization into the future.”

Earlier this month, the AGA published a report which revealed gaming CEOs are optimistic about the next six months for the industry.
