Elys Game Technology has received regulatory approval from the DC Department of Small & Local Business Development for its proposed sportsbook joint venture with District Hospitality.
It comes after Elys secured a sportsbook partnership with District Hospitality at the Ozio Lounge in Washington DC, with a three-year agreement and an option for two additional years.
Through the JV, named BetDupont, Elys would secure its third retail sportsbook location in Washington DC through its white label sportsbook solution at Ozio Lounge.
Elys already has a sportsbook solution at Grand Central Restaurant and Sportsbook and anticipates regulatory approval to open its second sportsbook at the Cloakroom Gentleman’s Club.
Moreover, it recently unveiled plans for a fourth sportsbook at the Entitlement Restaurant and Lounge, subject to DSLBD, as is its recently announced JV with AllBets.
Whilst DSLBD approval has been secured, Elys still requires regulatory approval from the DC Office of Lottery and Gaming to begin operating the sportsbook at Ozio Lounge.
