Butler National Casino’s subsidiary Boot Hill Casino & Resort in Kansas has agreed a deal with Golden Nugget Online Gaming which could see the group’s sportsbook arrive in Kansas.

Subject to receipt of licensing and regulatory approval, the DraftKings-owned firm will deliver its interactive sportsbook to Boot Hill Casino following the legalization of sports wagering in Kansas.

Governor Laura Kelly confirmed that sports betting will begin in the state on September 1 and the law allows Butler National’s subsidiary to contract with three sports wagering platform providers.

“We’re pleased with the regulatory efforts to implement sports wagering in Kansas,” said Clark Stewart, President and CEO of Butler National Corporation.

“We are looking forward to driving new tourism and revenue for the State of Kansas into Dodge City.”

GNOG’s mobile sportsbook offers Kansans a ‘robust, interactive suite’ of options for sports betting and, with the firm taking expertise from its new parent company DraftKings, claims that it will be a ‘trusted and legacy provider of gaming entertainment.

“Golden Nugget Online Gaming is a recognized and established brand within the gaming industry.  We’re thrilled our customers may soon experience all the excitement that online sports betting has to offer,” added Stewart.

“We’re excited for Golden Nugget Online Gaming, to be able to bring Kansans a seamless, safe and premium sports betting experience through its Golden Nugget Online Gaming-branded sportsbook, subject to receipt of requisite regulatory approvals.”
