Yahoo Sports has announced the renewal of the Ekeler’s Edge series for a second season, featuring Los Angeles Chargers running back, fantasy football star, and entrepreneur Austin Ekeler.
Debuting on September 7, the second season will have 18 one-hour episodes airing on Wednesdays during the NFL season. It will also introduce a podcast to accompany the series, featuring Ekeler’s insight into the week’s best matchups, and his fantasy prospects.
During episodes of Ekeler’s Edge, Ekeler will also conduct interviews with other NFL stars and fantasy enthusiasts. Past guests have included Rob Gronkowski, Justin Herbert, Jerome Bettis, Rainn Wilson, Joel McHale, and Travis Kelce.
“It feels really great to be back with Yahoo Sports. There’s so much passion in the Fantasy community and I love being able to connect with fans to give them an inside look at Fantasy that they’re not going to find anywhere else,” commented Ekeler.
“With some new and returning faces this season, I can’t wait to help listeners craft their best lineups each week.”
Dropping every Wednesday, the weekly podcast during season two of Ekeler’s Edge will be part of Yahoo’s daily series, The Yahoo Fantasy Football Forecast.
Co-streamed across Yahoo Sports’ and Ekeler’s social channels, the podcast will combine Yahoo’s fantasy platform and experts with Ekeler’s inside perspective and knowledge to keep fantasy managers informed during the NFL season.
For the 2022 season, Yahoo Sports will also roll out additional content offerings, including new features on Yahoo Fantasy Plus such as Draft Scout, which analyzes a fantasy league’s draft in real time to suggest the top available players to draft. Subscribers will also receive exclusive offerings to help with their draft pick decisions.
The premium subscription will also continue to offer premium data with Research Assistant, trade insights via the Trade Hub, and easier lineup management.
