Rush Street Interactive (RSI) has signed an exclusive BetRivers brand and content deal with Canadian sports broadcaster and reporter Natasha Staniszewski.

Currently the host of StampsTV for Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation, Staniszewski is well-known to Canadian sports fans thanks to her 10 years of anchoring and reporting for SportsCentre, the flagship sports news and information program of TSN.

“It’s an exciting time to be part of the sports betting industry in Ontario and I am thrilled to be joining the BetRivers team as a brand ambassador,” commented Staniszewski on the deal.

“I look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion for sports while creating unique content for a wide audience of sports fans.”

Under the terms of the deal, Staniszewski will create original content for the BetRivers brand and appear in radio, television and marketing campaigns in Ontario and the US where BetRivers has sportsbooks – whilst also representing the brand at events in the former market.

Richard Schwartz, CEO of RSI, which operates BetRivers.ca, added: “We couldn’t be more excited for Natasha Staniszewski to be joining the BetRivers family.

“Her unique perspective and extensive experience covering the world of sports will be an incredible asset to our customers and will continue to enhance BetRivers’ award-winning experience for sports betting enthusiasts in Ontario and beyond.”

Earlier this month, RSI published its Q2 financial results, declaring year-over-year improvements in revenue, but also an increase in net loss and adjusted advertising and promotions expenses.

Schwartz also gave an update on the operator’s progress in Ontario, Canada and Mexico, noting that since their respective launches, handle and revenue in Canada’s most populous province have “steadily” grown, while they’re “excited” about upcoming marketing campaigns in Mexico.
